Havre School Board Approves Collective Bargaining Agreement with HEA

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre Public School Board of Trustees convened on Tuesday evening and approved the collective bargaining agreement with the Havre Education Association. The agreement runs through June 30th, 2023.

Before the meeting adjourned, Superintendent Craig Mueller announced that at their next monthly meeting on August 10th at 6:30 PM, they will be considering and approving the final budgets for the 2021-22 school year. The meeting may be continued from day to day until the final adoption of the budgets.

Other action taken at the meeting:

  • Appointment of Trustees Cindy Erickson, Theresa Miller and Tim Scheele for an appeal process for the Policy 1700 appeal committee
  • Trustee Committee appointments for 2021-2022 as determined by Board Chair Curtis Smeby
  • On first reading, approval of numerous new and revised policies in the 1000 2000 and 3000 series. This is due to recent statutory and regulatory changes that required updates to current policies. Second reading on the policies will be held at the Board’s regular monthly meeting on August 10th
