HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A Havre man has pleaded guilty to two felonies related to his alleged involvement in a hit and run spree in March 2020.
Bruce Edward McLain, who was 65 years old at the time of the incident, pleaded guilty on Monday in Hill County District Court to criminal mischief by common scheme and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
The plea agreement asks for consecutive suspended sentences of 10 years on the mischief charge and five years on the tampering charge with the Department of Corrections.
Judge Kaydee Snipes-Ruiz is not obligated to abide by the sentencing recommendation.
McLain was originally charged on 98 different counts, but it was reduced to the two felony charges in the amended information that McLain pleaded guilty to.
According to court documents, McLain is believed to have caused over $125,000 in damage.
