BILLINGS, Mont. (NMB) – KRTV reports that a man was critically injured when a bank vault fell on him on Monday at a construction site in Billings Heights.
The Billings Fire Department says crews responded to the scene at 11:30 AM at the 900 block of Main Street, which is where a Chase bank is under construction.
There were people inside the building moving a 6,000 pound vault on a cart, when it tipped over and fell on a man. People at the scene were able to lift the vault off of the man before first responders arrived.
The man’s condition is not known, but he was breathing when in transport to a local hospital.
