BOZEMAN, Mont. (NMB) – The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports that tires on 15 vehicles were slashed on July 14th at access points along the Upper Madison River.
None of the damaged vehicles had Montana license plates, and all were parked within a seven mile stretch of the river.
There have not been any slashed tires reported in the area since the 14th, and no suspects have been identified. Since there is no suspect, a motive cannot be identified.
However, Madison County Sheriff Phil Fortner told the Chronicle that the perpetrator may have been frustrated with increased visitation to the Madison River.
