CHOTEAU, Mont. (NMB) – A 27-year-old Great Falls woman was killed and a 31-year-old man from Kent, Washington was injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday evening in Teton County.
The Montana Highway Patrol states that the crash happened at 11:30 PM on Secondary Road 221 just east of Choteau, when a westbound Ford F150 being driven by the Great Falls woman overcorrected to the right after crossing the center line. The vehicle began to skid and went airborne before rolling multiple times and landing in a ditch.
The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to a local hospital.
Alcohol and excessive speed are suspected factors in the crash.
