FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Department of Transportation has issued new load postings for the White Bear Creek Bridge on Montana Highway 66 in Fort Belknap.
The new posting on the Bridge applies to Specialized Hauling Vehicles. It limits maximum gross vehicle weight of single-unit vehicles with six or seven axles to 31 tons.
The bridge is located about eight miles south of Fort Belknap Agency and 25 miles north of Hays.
Load ratings provide information about how much distributed weight can safely pass over a bridge.
This posting is part of a multi-year effort to update load ratings and postings on Montana bridges as mandated by the Federal Highway Administration.
