FLATHEAD COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – A 35-year-old Whitefish man was killed on Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle on US 2 near Kalispell.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at 6:25 PM at mile marker 125, when a 44-year-old Kalispell man driving a Jeep Wrangler northbound was unable to come to a stop after a pedestrian entered the road for unknown reasons.
The incident is being investigated by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol. The victim’s body has been sent to the Montana State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
