
CUT BANK, Mont. (NMB) – A 23-year-old woman from Cut Bank was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday evening in Glacier County.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at 8:40 PM at mile marker 23.9 of Secondary Highway 358, when the woman was driving a GMC Sierra southbound. The vehicle encountered icy road conditions while going uphill, causing the driver to lose control.
The vehicle went across the oncoming lane and rolled off the roadway to the east.
The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Excessive speed is a suspected factor in the crash.
