The Hill County Commission, Clerk and Recorder, Auditor, and Treasurer, have been diligently working in the Fiscal Year 2027 budget. Jake Strissel, Chairman of the Hill County Commission explains when the public can come and provide comment on the proposed budget.
“Right now we’re compiling all those numbers and by August 31st we will have all of those numbers compiled, we will put those in the commissioner’s office. Any member of the public that is a resident can come look at those see what the tax dollars are going towards and if you have any questions on it or if you’d like to see your tax dollars go somewhere different, you’re welcome to give public comment.”
