LAME DEER, Mont. (NMB) – The Bureau of Indian Affairs has confirmed reports that a Lame Deer man was recently killed by a pack of dogs.
A press release says the person was fatally attacked by dogs on December 12th.
Following a preliminary autopsy, the cause of death of 58-year-old Duke Little Whirlwind has been determined to be attack by canines, with drugs and alcohol as contributing factors.
The case remains under investigation and no dogs have been located or captured.
BIA law enforcement and the Rosebud County Sheriff responded to the scene and did not find any dogs present when they arrived.
