HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Department of Justice has announced that 61 new officers graduated on Tuesday from the Montana Law Enforcement Academy (MLEA).
A press release says Attorney General Austin Knudsen addressed the class and was in attendance to congratulate the new officers as they received their awards and diplomas.
Several of the new officers will serve agencies along the Hi-Line.
- Devin Duke will be serving with the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office
- Richard Balas will be serving with the Chinook Police Department
- Kyler Phelps will be serving with the Fergus County Sheriff’s Office
- Vernon Hankins will be serving with Fort Belknap Law Enforcement
- Madison Salka will be serving with the Lewistown Police Department
- Bruce Tempel will be serving with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office
MLEA provides basic and advanced training for state, county, city, and tribal law enforcement officers across the state.
