HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Department of Health and Human Services COVID dashboard was updated on Tuesday to include 3,924 new cases of the virus across Montana.
This was the first update since Friday morning and signals that the ongoing surge caused by the Omicron variant is making a major impact in the state.
Eight counties reported at least 100 new COVID cases, led by Gallatin with 1,275, Missoula with 451, Yellowstone with 398, and Cascade with 317.
Every county in the state except for Petroleum has at least one active case of COVID, and the confirmed active case count in Montana is now over 13,400, with 236 active COVID-related hospitalizations.
