HELENA, Mont. (NMB) –The state health department reported 4,374 new COVID-19 cases in their Friday update.
However, DPHHS says that the number includes many positive cases from earlier in the week that were not represented earlier due to technical issues with their laboratory reporting system.
Nine counties reported over 100 new cases of the virus in the latest update, led by Cascade with 678, Yellowstone with 633, Missoula with 628, Lewis and Clark with 425, and Flathead with 395.
The known active case count is back above 15,000, and every county in the state has at least one active case..
328 Montanans are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, and the death toll increased by two to 3,031.
