GLENDIVE, Mont. (NMB) – The Glendive Fire Department has confirmed that a fire first reported late Sunday evening in Glendive has destroyed the historic Ponderosa Building on Bell Street.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
The building, which features apartments and a commercial space, is a total loss. All residents have been accounted for and are not hurt. Neighboring buildings saw smoke and water damage.
The fire was first reported at around 7:45 PM.
Eyewitnesses say flames reached heights of about 100 feet, and the building ended up collapsing.
