Hill and Blaine County Both Report COVID-Related Death

 

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Blaine County reported a COVID-related death on Wednesday, their third this month and 32nd since the pandemic began.

Blaine County’s active case count as of Wednesday night was 79, with three hospitalizations. Prior to Wednesday, Blaine County’s most recent COVID-related deaths were reported on February 7th and 17th.

COVID vaccines are available on Thursdays at the Blaine County Health Department (420A Ohio Street in Chinook) from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM and 1 PM-4:30 PM.

Hill County reported its first COVID-related death since late November on Tuesday.

Hill County has now reported 72 total COVID-related deaths since the pandemic began

As of Wednesday evening, the active COVID case count for Hill County was at 59, with one active hospitalization. Hill County’s recent peak for active cases was 290 back on January 20th.

Public health officials continue to urge the public to remain vigilant and follow the precautions that have been preached throughout the pandemic. Vaccination opportunities are available at many local pharmacies and health departments throughout the region.
