Thursday’s Recap From the Northern C

The Northern C got off to an early start Thursday morning as the Big Sandy Pioneers would take the court opposite of Roy Winifred. The Pioneers would fall into a deep hole in the first quarter as at the end of 1 it would be 23-7 in favor for the Outlaws. The Pioneers would chip away throughout the game in fact even getting the lead down to 2 at one point in the 3rd quarter. In the end the senior leadership would be to much for the Pioneers to overcome as the final score would be 63-53. Next up for the Pioneers will be a 8am game on Friday morning.

 

Game two of the day would feature another 2 seed of the 9c, but this time it would be the Chinook Girls basketball team they also would go against the Roy-Winifred Lady Outlaws. The Lady Outlaws would lead in a wire to wire game as the final score would be 55-23.

Game three was high-spirited and full of action between the CJI and Winnett-Grass Range boys. At the break CJI led by a close margin, 21-14. Winnett never slacked up and kept the spread tight but didn’t rally in time to overtake CJI, who took the game 48-39.

Game four was fiery for the Box Elder and Geraldine-Highwood girls. Box Elder took control from the tip to final whistle, never giving and inch, leading at the half and finishing off the night with a 56-23 win.
