ROCKY BOY, Mont. (NMB) – A woman has been convicted in Chippewa Cree Tribal Court of multiple charges for the 2019 hit-and-run death of 16-year-old Lacey Arkinson of Rocky Boy.
Shoshana Saddler, 36, was found guilty by a six-person jury of negligent homicide, destruction of evidence, failing to report an accident and obstructing justice, according to prosecutor Andre’ Wright.
The trial began at 10 AM on May 10th and concluded on May 11th at around 4 PM. The jury deliberated for between 35-45 minutes.
Special Judge Andrew Huff presided over the case. Steve Henry was head counsel, while Andre’ Wright was co-counsel. Saddler was represented by Ted Koop.
Arkinson was struck and killed by a Dodge Journey being driven by Saddler traveling southbound at about 11:30 PM on the night of the crash near the intersection of Laredo and Buttercup Roads.
Sentencing is set for May 26th at 1 PM.
