Early Response Training Coming to North Central Montana

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Saturday, March 23rd, an Early Response Training will be held at the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church in Havre.

A press release says that Early Response Teams fill a specific need in the early days after a disaster to help prevent further damage while providing a caring presence. This training equips individuals to prepare for, respond to, and help people recover from disasters. Participants will learn the basics of disaster response, including how to stabilize and secure home safely, and how to work effectively with survivors and others.

This training is available to anyone 18 years or older who is willing to serve in disaster relief. The class will take place on Saturday, March 23rd from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and lunch will be provided. People are asked to enroll online at mtnskyumcert@gmail.com.
