ROCKY BOY, Mont. (NMB) – The St. Mary’s Catholic Church on the Rocky Boy’s Reservation has been fully rebuilt following a devastating fire in December of 2019.
There will be a Dedication Mass this Saturday at 10 AM. Father Joseph Tran says Bishop Michael Warfel will bless the church, and they will be celebrating First Communions and Confirmations.
On Sunday at 11:30 AM, the Church will be holding their regular mass. The public is welcome to these events.
Father Joseph Tran says those that have already visited the new church have come away impressed.
“People have been really excited about it. Some of the people that I’ve never seen before also come to church regularly (now). So it’s something that’s been really exciting for the community.”
Tran says they continue to work on fundraising efforts, adding that things are going well and they are hopeful they won’t have to take out a loan.
