Fort Belknap Proposes Revisions to Juvenile Code

FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMB) – The Fort Belknap Indian Community Council is considering adopting a change in their current Juvenile Code.

According to a press release, the change would remove the section of the Code that requires a bond to be posted if a juvenile is released from custody.

The FBIC Council is inviting comments from Community members regarding removing the bond requirement.

The 30-day comment period concludes on Thursday, July 7th. Comments can be submitted to the FBIC Recorders office, and both handwritten and email comments will be received.
