CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – The P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter in Chinook has made an arrangement with a professional dog trainer for low cost trainings in Havre and Chinook.
Scott Jackson is the trainer, and he is providing both individual and group trainings, according to PAWS Manager Alissa Hewitt.
“What if, instead of surrendering your pet, what if we fix whatever the problem is. So training can do that, and that’s what I’m hoping. Maybe it will slow down the drop-off process. P.A.W.S. is dangerously over capacity right now and Scott has offered to do a shelter afternoon with us where he’s going to work with our volunteers and staff, but it’s also open to the community.”
All proceeds, except for the travel cost for Jackson, will go directly back to the shelter.
