Tempel Visits With Locals During Legislative Call In

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Friday at noon, Republican Senator Russel Tempel met with a handful of people at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre. Democratic Representative Jacob Bachmeier wasn’t at the meeting as only the Senate was in session last week after their break. Senator Mike Lang appeared later during the meeting.

Hill County Commissioner Mike Wendland asked the Senator about several bills, including ones that would revise election laws, increase the prices of birth and death certificates, and about grant funding for 911 dispatch centers.

The Senators said there wasn’t much to discuss at the moment because of the break, but they expect the session to heat up this week.
