Havre Schools’ Education Foundation Offers 27 Scholarships this Year

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Spring is the time of year for high school seniors and continuing college students to start applying for scholarships. Executive Director of the Havre Public School’s Education Foundation Cheryl Morse says they have 27 scholarship opportunities, with most of them open to Havre High School students and some available to North Star and continuing education students. They have one online application for all the scholarships.

“They go on to our website, www.hpseducationfoundation.com and click on scholarships and apply. And all of the scholarships are listed with their criteria and their qualifications.”

Morse says the scholarships range from $500 to $2,000, but this year’s Tillie Patterson Scholarship is awarding two $8,000 scholarships.

“They should just take a look at each one of them because some would like an essay, some would like letters of recommendations. There are some scholarships that want the students to be attending a specific school. Some like a specific major. There’s different qualifications for several different ones, so they should just take a look at all of them.”

The application deadline is April 1st at midnight. Call the Education Foundation with questions at 262-3394.
