The MSU-Northern Lights took on the College of Idaho this past weekend and were served their first loss of the season, by a final score of 31-3.
Northern’s defense came out with purpose, holding the College of Idaho to only 10 first half points.
However, the Yotes’ offense got back on track in the second half, where they scored three more touchdowns.
The Lights struggled to move the ball, only totaling 133 yards of offense, and to stop it, allowing 426 yards defensively.
Kicker Kaden Nelson scored the only three points of the game for the Lights, knocking down a 25 yard field goal with 25 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Next up for the team is their home opener against Southern Oregon, this Saturday, September 3rd, at Tillman Field.
