Techno-Expo Thursday at MSUN

(Havre) – Three Hundred and Thirty-Five High School Students will be on the campus of Montana State University – Northern on Thursday for Techno Expo. Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services Maura Gatch tells us more about the event. “Techno-Expo is a great opportunity for us to showcase to Montana High School students the careers that come out of the academic programs that we have here. So, we’ll have industries stay over from the career fair and students get to sign up for one of ten tracks.

Gatch explains the type of activities the students will get to participate in during Techno Expo. “On the College of Technical Sciences, they get the opportunity to work on some of the equipment, or in the trades they get to actually weld or work with the electrical or the plumbing. In the Health Sciences they get to work with our simulation mannequins to see what a nursing student would actually do and then in the College of Art, Science and Education they’ll do everything from creative writing opportunities. Criminal Justice will have a lot of their industry here including a helicopter will be on campus.”
