(NMB) The Havre Blue Ponies volleyball team is at home Friday and Saturday for their final two home matches of the year, and after last weekend third place finish at the Blocktoberfest tournament in Butte, Coach Stephanie Huse says her team is in a good spot heading toward the post season.
“We’re right where we need to be. I was very happy with how the girls played down at the tournament in Butte. It was a great opportunity to see the girls compete in the tournament format plus face new competition, be challenged through that long tournament, So, that’s going to benefit us going into the last few weeks of our season.”
The ponies host Browning on Friday. On Saturday Sidney is in town for Senior day. This year’s group of Seniors, according to Huse, is a direct reflection of the success the team had had the last few years.
“The commitment and their love for playing volleyball and playing it together has created just a great program environment. To be able to honor them and thank them dor their time is going to be special and we’re going to really going to try our best to enjoy it.”
Both matches Friday and Saturday are scheduled for 4pm at the Blue Pony Gym
