Big Sandy’s Henry Merrill, Tammy Copenhaver of Hingham, and Charlotte Kelly from Chester were among the youth recognized during the 107th annual Montana Farmers Union convention earlier this month in Helena.
Henry Merrill was one of four recipients of the Mildred Stoltz Award, presented for positive attitude, kindness, good verbal skills and an understanding of cooperative principals. Winners received a commemorative Arrowpeak Camp framed phote, $50, a year’s MFU membership, and free registration for the 2023 camp.
Tammy Copenhaver and Charlotte Kelly were recognized for their dedication, involvement, and investment into the MFU mission. Copenhaver took part of various MFU committees. Kelly has tenured efforts in MFU education, including putting time and resources into hosting an annual day camp in Chester. Both helped with planning the annual Women’s Conference.
