(NMB) The MSU Northern Lights Basketball team is off to a 3 and 0 start with wins over Kings University, Lethbridge and Northwest Indian College. Head Coach Shawn Huse is happy with the early season start but knows there’s a long way to go.
“We’re doing a lot of things right now that are really good and at the same time, we’re doing a lot of things that are going to get us into a lot of trouble when we get to conference play and things like that. We’ve got a long way to go to where we need to be to be great.” -Huse
The Lights get back on the floor Thursday night at home versus the University of Alberta-Augustana, a team that Coach Huse says brings a good big man and guards to town.
“Versatile big man that can play inside, can shoot from the outside. Guards that have been there for a while, real smart. They can shoot, they can drive, they get the offense started, they work well as a team.“- Huse
Thursday Night’s game is set to tip off at 7pm. The Lights hit the road next week for their first road trip of the season. They will pay Puget Sound University and Pacific Lutheran November 19th and 20th in Tacoma, Washington.
