HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Monday night, Havre’s City Council met for a short meeting. The Council just made a quorum with five out of eight members present.
The only item on the agenda was the confirmation of Tyler Craig as a probationary police officer. Police Chief Gabe Matosich says Craig is a great candidate and will attend the academy in April.
After the meeting, a member of the public asked the Council what their long-term water plans were in the wake of a damaged water tank that flooded Havre streets. Havre Mayor Tim Solomon said that the problems we’re seeing now are the results of not having the funding to address the aging water and sewer lines in town. He said that during this recent cold snap, they discovered a few new problems that will be placed higher on their priority list.
