HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Monday, a Box Elder man was arrested after he fled the Hill County Courthouse following his sentencing in another case.
Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich said 27-year-old Jacob Crebs allegedly ran away from the Courthouse after he was sentenced and has been charged with felony escape. He left the courthouse and apparently flagged down a driver and asked for a ride. Officers spotted him as a passenger in the vehicle and pulled them over. Crebs was arrested minutes after leaving the courthouse without incident.
As of Tuesday morning, he was being held in the Hill County Detention Center without bond.
