The Havre Northstars battled the Billings Blue Jays Sunday in Billings. The Northstars fell to the Blue Jays (10-4) in a game that was held scoreless until Billings jumped out to a (2-0) lead in the 3rd inning. The Blue Jays pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth, thanks to a Camden Wilson walk scoring one run and Anthony Williams singled scoring two runs.
The Blue Jays continued their offensive assault scoring four runs in the 5th. Connor Smith led the Blue Jays to the victory on the mound. The pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out four. Kooper Beard threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Lane Kinsella pitched two and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on five hits and two strikeouts for the Northstars in the loss. As a team the Northstars had five hits with one RBI and eleven walks.
Havre falls to (7-7) on the season. Back in action Wednesday when they travel to Great Falls to take on the Chargers at 6PM.
