Commissioners to Hold Public Hearings on Zoning Changes

(Havre) – The Hill County Commissioners conducted their weekly meeting on Thursday at the Hill County Courthouse. The Commissioners have scheduled two public hearings on Thursday July 13th about proposed zoning changes in the county. The first zoning change is being requested by Mountain View Co-Op to change the zoning on 20.16 acres at the Lodestar Estates east of Havre from Agricultural to Commercial. The meeting will take place at 9am on July 13th. The second request comes from Montana, Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, to change 9.15 acres on River Road from Agricultural to Residential Two. The meeting will be held at 9:30am on July 13th. Both meeting will take place inside the commissioners office at the Hill County Courthouse. At the end of the meeting, Commission Chairman Mark Peterson read a letter from the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation that Hill County has been approved for a grant from DNRC for a project at Beaver Creek Dam.
