(Missoula) – An Indian national today admitted to his role in stealing $150,000 from an elderly Montana woman through a computer-hacking scheme.
Sukhdev Vaid of India pleaded guilty to wire fraud. Vaid faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release.
Sentencing was set for February 14th, 2024 and Vaid was detained pending further proceedings. United States District Judge Donald W. Molloy presided over the case.
