(Billings) – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are seeking information on a mule deer buck found shot and wasted on private land between Fishtail and Absarokee in Stillwater County.
A member of the public reported the deer to FWP on Sunday, October 22nd Wardens investigated the situation and found the dead deer with a gunshot wound approximately 20 yards from a nearby road. The deer was likely shot on Saturday, October 21st, the opening day of the general big game season.
