DOE RENEW Initiative to Support Six Pathway Summer Schools

(Washington, D.C.) – The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Science (SC) will support nearly 140 high schoolers, recent high school graduates, and early undergraduate students from underrepresented groups and underserved schools in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through awards for six Pathway Summer Schools at six national laboratories.

The new awards include Argonne National Laboratory, RENEW Pathways High School Bridge into Internships Summer School, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Interdisciplinary Pathways to Machine Learning and Data Science, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Brookhaven User Facility Summer School, and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Chemistry Opportunities for Research Experiences.
