(NMB) The MSU Northern Lights basketball team is currently in California where they will wrap a four game road trip tonight (Monday) when they take on Pacific Union College. So far on the trip the Lights are 2 and 1. They beat La Sierra College 71 to 43 last Wednesday night, Lost a double overtime game to William Jessup 83 to 82 on Friday night but bounced back to defeat Menlo College on Saturday 83 to 75.
Coach Huse says the double overtime loss was tough, but a great learning moment for his team.
“Learning a lot from that game. Going late into the night and having to bounce back and Play Menlo and beat them pretty soundly. You know that game never really got interesting. The bounce back in that situation was really impressive.”-Huse
Coach Huse said the long road trip has been a great opportunity for his team to build some chemistry and he’s happy with where they’re at so early in the year.
“To be where we’re at right now while we’re learning as a new group this year, I couldn’t be much happier.”-Huse
The Lights play their final game of the road trip tonight (Monday) at 8pm against Pacific Union College.
