HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The weekly legislative call in session took place Friday afternoon at the Northern
Montana Hospital. The meeting ran a few minutes behind schedule, but Democratic Representative for Havre Jacob Bachmeier made the time to talk with a few residents about community concerns.
The meeting began in light mood as community members were happy with results from Senate Bill 160, sponsored by Roger Webb. The Senate Bill allowed county clerks to allow the processing of absentee ballots 5 days before election. It helps because ballot machines were breaking from ballots not being flattened correctly before going in.
Another topic discussed were the Healthcare bills, specifically the Medicaid Expansion Bill and how it would effect Montanans.
The last bill Bachmeier talked about was the revival of Hanna’s Act, as it was passed in the senate, and will be heard for a third time on Tuesday, April 9th at 2pm.
