BUFFALO, Wyoming (NMB) – A Box Elder teenager has died, and two others injured in a rollover crash
Saturday near Buffalo, Wyoming.
Wyoming Highway Patrol identified the victim as 13-year-old Tyra L. Parker of Box Elder. A 7-year-old child was injured and is being treated at a hospital in Denver. The child’s name was not released.
The driver, 62-year-old Evelyn O. Parker of Box Elder was also injured and taken for treatment to a hospital in Buffalo.
The crash happened just before 2pm Saturday afternoon on Interstate 25 south of Buffalo. Their 2012 Chevrolet Equinox was southbound on Interstate 25 . Parker failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.
Tyra Parker was in the front passenger seat and everyone in the vehicle was wearing their seat belts.
Police believe Driver fatigue was a contributing factor in the rollover crash.
