(Havre) – New Media Broadcasters sat down with Candace Dess the General Manager of the Havre Eagles club to ask how many families has the toy drive helped?
“So last year we helped about 75 families basically with like the boxes around town we ask that people just donate a new unwrapped toy for anybody ages 1 to 18. You can also make a monetary donation. We use a lot of that to buy gifts for the older kids just because we don’t get a lot of stuff put in the drop boxes for some of the older aged children.”
We continued by asking if the toy drive is partnered with other programs in the area to help families in need.
“We are not partnered with them, but we are aware of the other programs. They are wonderful programs and I try to cross reference with them a little bit just to make sure like I said we can help as many families as possible.”
We also asked how people can help the toy drive.
“So, if they are interested in donating or sponsoring a family, they can call the club or they can call 406-262-0498 and just let us know that they’re interested in helping and we can get them set up to help.”
