(Havre) – With the Montana Govenor Greg Gianforte making claims of overspending in local governments after the court ruling of the 95 mills New Media Broadcasters sat down with Jake Strissel one of the Hill County Commissioners to ask what their stance was on the Montana Governor’s claims of out-of-control spending in the local governments.
“I mean the governors stated that there’s out-of-control spending from local governments. I disagreed with that whole heartedly. We are very cognizant of taxpayer dollars. we want to get the best use out of them, and like commissioner Peterson has stated we have to go to the public if we want to raise taxes and that is something that we don’t want to do and that is something we haven’t done. So, this is really a slap in the face to our local governments around Montana.”
