Is Mill Incident a Reoccurring Problem or is this Something New.

(Havre) – With the Montana Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of the 95 Mill levy that will affect property and homeowners in the future. New Media Broadcasters sat down with Mark Peterson one of the Hill County Commissioners to ask if the recent debate with the mills a past problem was that reoccurred or not.

“Recently with the large increase in taxes it’s really come to light and got a closer look. There’s one county and it increased them dramatically. It was a dramatic increase in some areas more than other areas and it’s just going to the General Fund it’s not going to the schools. And if you’re going to bank ahead then it needs to go into a fund that you know is going into the schools to be looked at. Believe me every legislature looks at money that’s not tagged as something. The legislatures as a whole do a great job, a very difficult job. they get reams and reams and reams of paper; of bills they have to review and look at and try and make a good decision and in the time frame they have they do a remarkable job, but they rely a lot on numbers that the government provides for them.”
