Hill County Fatality

(Havre) – The Montana Highway Patrol reported that a fatal crash took place in the Havre area on New Year’s Eve.

A silver Chevrolet pickup was driving east on US Highway Two, when the driver suffered a medical event causing the vehicle to drive or the right side of the roadway. The vehicle continued in a forward motion for several hundred feet before crashing into private property. The driver was transported by ambulance to Northern Montana Hospital and later passed due to injuries sustained in the crash not the medical event. The Highway Patrol reports that a lack of seatbelt use directly contributed to the severe injuries and the ultimate fatality.

At this time the drivers name is being withheld until all notifications have been completed.
