(Havre) Students attending or planning to attend Montana State University Northern who express a strong interest in meat sciences or meat processing are eligible for new scholarship funding through Montana Farmers Union.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Matt Rains, Chief of Staff at Montana Farmers Union, to ask about how those interested in this scholarship can apply.
“So the application is on our web-site, montanafarmersunion.com, under our scholarships and grants. It’s very simple. We try to keep everything to simple applications so it’s not a burden to those filling out. It’s just a few questions about them, how they’re tied to their communities, why they’re interested in the meat processing curriculum.”, Rains said. “We’ll just line those applications up, and hopefully a couple individuals will stand out at the top and we’ll be able to grant Montana students that really deserve the opportunity to go to MSU Northern.”
