The MSU-Northern Lights basketball team is coming back from a hard fought game in Billings, taking down Rocky Mountain College in overtime, (87-84). New Media Broadcasters spoke to head coach Shawn Huse and he said his unit has been more connected than ever and that aspect put his team over the top this past Saturday night.
“I’m excited about these guys, you cannot say enough good things about their fight, the resiliency. I think there’s a lot of teams out there that have gone through what we have and they don’t play very good on Saturday night down at Rocky. Not us, our guys came out ready to go and found a way to finish it.”
With a tough test coming up against the University of Providence at home in the next outing, coach Huse said that his team is thinking about Argos’ coach J.C. Isakon’s family, but there’s still a job to do and that is what will take place.
“I feel like our guys are definitely focused on the job that we have to do this weekend and when the game is over and the dust settles, they’re certainly in our thoughts but not until the workouts and the games and practices are over.”
