(Missoula) The Montana Department of Transportation reported a road blocking avalanche in the Lookout Pass area on highway I-90.
The clean up process blocked one lane of traffic, and the total accumulation of snow was around 3 feet. The clean up was done in 30 minutes and traffic in the area is now clear.
MDT and Missoula Avalanche both now report the area to be no longer dangerous or at risk for avalanches, with the West Central Montana Avalanche Center giving it a moderate rating.
