(Havre) Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Hunter Education Classroom course dates have been set for the Havre area this year. There will be three courses offered this year. The courses will be held at MSU-Northern at Cowan Hall, room 300 and are free of Charge. Class 1 will be February 15th from 6-9pm. February 20 through the 23rd from 6-9pm and will finish up on February 24th with a field day and live shoot. Class 2 will take place in April and class 3 will be in May.
In person, instructor led hunter education classroom courses are available to anyone age 10 and older and provide new hunters with a hands on learning experience. For youth to be eligible to hunt and be fully certified during the 2024 season, they must be 12 years old by January 16th, 2025. Students aged 10 and 11 can take the course and hunt as an apprentice but will not be fully certified until the year they turn 12.
