(Helena) The new hunting fishing and conservation license season beings March 1st which means that will be the first day to buy all ordinary licenses and to begin applying for permits and special licenses, with the deadline for deer and elk permits being April 1st.
This year, Montana FWP says they have a one-click option for those reapplying, which eliminates the need to search through previous applications.
FWP says that applications open at 5am, with their call center opening at 7am. They also urge people to to check regulations as some have changed, and remind you that if you apply for a special license or permit, you will need a valid email address.
