HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Sunday, the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce will be cleaning up around the Town Square in Havre to get it ready for spring and summer events. Executive Director Jody Olson is asking for volunteers to help with the clean up at the Town Square at 10 AM.
“You could come down and help. We’ll have garbage bags and, you know, maybe bring a rake or something like that and trim a few trees and just clean up the Town Square for spring. So, yeah spring is here and everything is starting to happen. Everything kind of goes crazy around here and around town. Everybody’s ready to go out and get some different things done.”
Olson says they need the Town Square to be cleaned up in time for some upcoming spring events.
“There are events coming up. I know HRDC has contracted for a Cinco de Mayo on May 4th and pretty soon, well have Saturday Market, Sounds on the Square down the road. So, yea, all those things are getting ready to go.”
Olson asks for some volunteers to bring brooms, dust pans, shovels, rakes or pruning shears to help with the clean up.
