Havre Beneath the Streets’ “Living History Day” cancelled 2nd year in a row.

(Havre) Havre Beneath the Streets has officially canceled their June 1st “Living History Day” event.

New Media Broadcasters spoke with Christy Owens, Office Manager for Havre Beneath the Streets, to find out why.

“So unfortunately we had to cancel our living history day, we unfortunately suffered a flood in the first part of May. May 7th there was a lot of rain in the area and I know a lot of other folks around the area had some flooding issues. We did have flooding down in the beneath the street tours”

Owens says the flooding was a backup of the sewage line that became too high pressure, which then shot into the basement area of the museum. Owens said city officials later found a blockage in the system nearby.
