(Billings) An Oklahoma man convicted by a federal jury in Montana of failing to register as a sex offender after moving to the Billings area and despite repeated orders to do so was sentenced to seven years in prison, to be followed by 15 years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said.
The defendant, 33 year old Windelyn Valdo Shoulderblade, Jr., of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender on Jan. 30th, following a two-day jury trial.
U.S. District Judge Susan P. Watters presided. The court ordered the sentence to run consecutive to other cases pending in Oklahoma.
